Teri Barichello, VP and Chief Dental Officer

Dr. Teri Barichello enjoyed 13 years in private general practice before joining Moda in 2011. She provides strategic leadership and planning for the Delta Dental of Oregon and Alaska dental programs. In her role, she oversees Dental Professional Relations, Dental Medicaid Services and the clinical operations of the Tooth Taxi mobile dental program. She is a strong advocate for promoting the importance of oral health in achieving optimal overall health.

OPIOIDS IN DENTISTRY

Dr. Barichello will provide an in depth overview of the use of Opioids for pain management in dentistry.  She will address the culture around prescribing medication along with showing current trends in the industry.  Dr. Barichello will also compare the use of opioids with non-opioid pain management as well as discuss Delta Dental initiatives for handling pain management.
